Heritage Day (April 19, 2008) Events
• Featuring our unique machine shop: a blacksmith, lathe operator, and other machinists IN ACTION.
• Tour our Historic 1910 Sawmill Complex, Lumber cutting demonstrations
• Rail Motorcar rides all day! (We now have 2 motorcars!!)
• Arts & crafts, wood carvers, pine needle basket weavers, and more!
• Food – BBQ, Funnel Cakes and more
• Live Gospel Music – 10am-12:30pm
• The Southern Plainsmen Quartet - Hornbeck, The Harrells - Holden, Banjo & Fiddle Combo–Old Time Music (throughout day)
• Antique Automobile Display
• Antique Tractor Pull & Engine Show 10am-4pm
• Handmade Quilt Display & Demonstrations
• Dr. TC Smith will be here signing his recently released book
• ‘The Tale of Three Sawmill Towns’
• Especially for Children:
Motorcar Rides, Pony Rides, Space Jumpers, “Angel Express” Train Rides, & Face Painting
