Worked at International Paper, 1952-1985, retiring as Wood Procurement Supervisor at the IP Pineville Mill. Owner, Carroll Timber Company, 1985-2003. Started work at the museum as an associate in October 2004; appointed executive director in January 2005.
Other:
Hobbies include being crew chief for Bob Pulaski's hot air balloon, "Pole Ski", and snow-skiing.
Family:
Married to Dolly Carroll, who is a counselor at Louisiana State University-Alexandria. Seven children who live in three states.

Grounds Foreman - Charles Hudson

Military Experience:
Entered the Army at Camp Livingston, Louisiana on March 11, 1941 and served in the Quartermasters in Casablanca, Naples and other locations in Italy. Once was a guest on Joseph P. Kennedy's yacht.
Work Experience:
Worked in Long Leaf prior to going into the Army. After serving in the Army he moved to Chicago and worked for ten years for the New York Central Railroad and the Milwaukee Railroad. Mr. Hudson has served as Grounds Foreman at the Southern Forest Heritage Museum since 1995.
